Sunday’s show features Ekolu Mea Nui with Sonny Lim, Kevin Kealoha and Kunia Galdeira, performance poet Michele Dalton from Puna, and the finest paniolo music from Willie-Joe Camara and Damien de Mello.

The 90-minute show includes music, talk-story, and song, hosted on-air and on-stage by Kahilu’s Artistic and Managing Director, Tim Bostock.

“We are pleased to be partnering with Hawaii Public Radio in the Applause series to shine the spotlight on and record Big Island artists,” said Bostock. “With tickets starting at $5, this is a chance for everyone to enjoy our local talent.”

The broadcast date for the first “Applause From The Kahilu” concert will be Oct. 26 on HPR.

The second “Applause From the Kahilu” concert will be Sunday, Sept. 21 and the third, Sunday, Nov. 16, both at 4 p.m.
